Acqua di Parma, the fastest growing brand of LVMH’s beauty portfolio, is looking for an ambitious Sales Manager to join its growing New York based team. This newly created position will be responsible for managing and growing the wholesale business across North America and for the achievement of overall company objectives. The brand is currently distributed in all major department stores and key specialty stores as well as online and in key hotels around the country.

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic individual who can harness the potential of the brand and coach, develop and continue to build a world class team. Someone who is passionate about the brand, and has a big picture vision as well as the attention to detail to execute it.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution, a minimum of 5 years of experience in wholesale of a luxury brand, strong experience in working with and negotiating with department stores, and experience in managing and coaching a field sales team. Proven ability to grow an existing business is required. We are looking for a highly energetic individual, with an analytical mind and empathic personality who can build relationship with key stakeholders inside and outside the company. Reporting directly to the President for North America this is a key role in shaping the future growth of Acqua di Parma in North America. We are looking for a team player who is self motivated, a great communicator who thrives in small environment and who has an entrepreneurial mindset and a can do attitude. Someone who can come up with solutions and new ideas to improve processes and who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Determine the composition of the retailer distribution in terms of account/door openings, closings, space/location improvements and new counter installations

· Negotiate best possible space and positioning for each door

· Build strong relationships with all key personnel in store groups to enable business goals to be achieved

· Carry out field visits with a focus on solving specific issues and opportunities that exist in an area

· Develop with Sales Assistant and Marketing Manager a list of implementable in store events in-line with brand’s vision

 

PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

· Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution

· 5 to 10 years of experience in wholesale sales

· Strong relationships and experience in working with major high-end Departments Stores and key specialty stores

· Strong analytical skills

· Previous experience in managing staff

· Thrives in an unstructured environment

· Knowledge of Office Suite skills (Query tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· Ability to quickly adapt

· Ability to multitask; work with tight deadlines accurately

· Able to work on own initiative but also as part of small team

· Ability to suggest ideas and solutions and implement them

· Fluency in Italian language strongly preferred
